Press Release: clockin One of the Top 13 Scale-ups in the 3rd Badge of Scale-up NRW

Münster, 21 February 2024 – In a remarkable recognition of innovation potential and entrepreneurial excellence in North Rhine-Westphalia, the Münster-based start-up clockin GmbH has secured the sought-after place in the Scale-Up NRW accelerator programme run by the NRW Ministry of Economic Affairs. As one of the top 13 start-ups from NRW, clockin will now be part of an intensive 18-month programme designed to support high-growth start-ups in their growth and their expansion into international markets.

The Scale-Up NRW programme, a flagship project of the state government, offers the participating companies not only mentoring by established founders and industry experts, but also specialised workshops, peer-to-peer learning experiences and support through so-called soft landing pads for entering new markets. This initiative, implemented by Digital Innovation Hub Düsseldorf/Rheinland GmbH in cooperation with Start2 Group GmbH, aims to meet the particular demands of rapid scaling and to encourage sustainable growth.

clockin GmbH, known for its innovative time tracking app that supports small and medium-sized companies in digitalizing all of their staff and deployment processes, is a prime example of the innovative strength of the Münsterland region that shapes the ecosystem in NRW. “clockin's nomination proves once again that digitalizing bureaucratic processes is one of the greatest challenges of our time, and that our solution plays its part in freeing small and mid-sized companies from paperwork chaos. The selection of clockin GmbH underlines not only the scalability of the business model, but also the strength of the team and its commitment to technological innovation. Taking part in the Scale-Up NRW programme marks a decisive milestone for clockin on its way to playing a leading role in the digital transformation of small and medium-sized companies.

More than 200 start-ups had expressed their interest in the scaling programme; only 55 teams were admitted to the application process. In a comprehensive  selection procedure that included in-depth interviews and an assessment by an expert jury, clockin was chosen as one of the 13 start-ups for the programme's third cohort.

clockin GmbH is thus following in the footsteps of some of the most innovative companies from NRW, which have already achieved significant success at national and international level. By taking part in the Scale-Up NRW programme, clockin is taking a decisive step towards the future, ready to carry its vision of digital efficiency and optimisation out into the world.
