Die wichtigsten Fragen im Überblick

High value for small and medium-sized businesses

15x2 – this award title characterises the qualification and evaluation round that preceded it. Spread across the entire year, eight preselected German start-ups had competed for the favour of the corporate client advisers. Every participant in the format had 30 minutes to do so – a quarter of an hour for the company pitch and another quarter of an hour for the questions that followed.

The focus of the vote was in particular on innovation, economic viability and relevance for small and medium-sized businesses. Before the final decision round, all start-ups had to submit a short video statement answering three questions set in advance, which served as the final basis for the vote of the corporate client advisers of DZ BANK AG. In the end, the start-up clockin came out on top with its innovative app for time tracking and job management.

The winner from Münster impressed above all with its solution-oriented focus on doing away with the paperwork chaos that prevails in small and medium-sized businesses. Because the software can be used across industries, the solution offers high value for small and medium-sized businesses.

Because of coronavirus restrictions, the prize was first handed over online in a large group. Thomas Löcker, Head of Corporate Clients West & Central, and initiator Martin Petsch, Managing Director and Head of Industry & Automotive, finally presented the prize of €3,000 in person on 17 March 2022 at the DZ BANK branch in Münster to the tech start-up, which has already won several awards.

Award ceremony sparks a boom in demand

“We are delighted about the prize, above all because it was awarded directly by experts for small and medium-sized businesses who see the challenges their customers face in digitalization every day,” says co-founder and CEO Frederik Neuhaus.

The freshly crowned winner is also to be presented to a wider audience at a larger DZ BANK event, provided the pandemic conditions allow it. The attention of the corporate client advisers, however, is assured for the tech start-up. Following the award ceremony, several contacts have already come about with clients of the Initiativbank who want to benefit from the innovative software solution.
